Dr. ABDULLAH BALAMASH received the B.S. degree in electrical and computer engineering from King Abdulaziz University (KAU), Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in 1991. From 1991 to 1994 he worked for the Saudi Consolidated Electricity Company as a system engineer. In January 1995 he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of King Abdulaziz University as a teaching assistant. In August 1996 he received a scholarship from the Saudi government to pursue his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees. He received his M.S. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Syracuse University, New York, USA in 1999. He received his Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from University of Arizona, Arizona, USA in 2004. From 2004 to present he is an Associate professor at King Abdulaziz University. From 2006 to 2013, he held the position of Director of the Information Technology Unit at the College of Engineering. From 2015 to the present time, the deputy director of the Research Excellence Center in Smart Engineering Systems. From 2018 to 2022, he held the position of Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering.
